The Black Trumpet Mushroom is fruity and fragrant, and like its name suggests, is shaped like an inverted trumpet or vase with a black cap. Try adding to rice dishes, use to create savory cream sauces, pasta dishes, or serve with venison, pheasant, and other game. Use as a stuffing for cooked meats or to add smoky flavoring to soups, sauces, eggs, casseroles, fish, and stir-fry dishes. Black trumpets provide a great “meaty” flavor to vegan dishes too.
Rehydrate by soaking in hot water for 30 minutes, drain and squeeze out excess water. 1 oz. package.
